The Duke University Chapter recently raised $70 through hand-made donation boxes that were left at local Chinese restaurants in Durham during Chinese New Year. Each donation box was wrapped in red paper and supplemented with flyers and red envelopes in which donors could place donations. As the first planned fundraiser for this young chapter, it was all together a rewarding experience.
